We-Fix recently supported the replacement of chilled water ABS plastic pipework with new stainless steel pipework and bracketry on the side of a commercial building in London.
Working from pre-built scaffolding — which added complexity to the project — our team pushed through to successfully carry out the decommissioning and ripping out of the old plastic pipework, disposing of it safely, before carrying out the replacement works. We installed new stainless steel pipework and then proceeded with refilling and testing for leaks, getting the chilled system back up and running within just a few days.
Working alongside our client, a specialist mechanical contractor, we assisted with the installation of prefabricated stainless steel pipework

We-Fix carried out the full removal works on this stainless steel make-up tank for a cooling tower system on behalf of our client, a trusted water treatment firm.
Scope included:
• Full mechanical isolation and safe drain down
• Sectional cutting of the tank in a restricted plant room
• Careful removal via cat ladder access at roof level
• Transported through the building to the loading bay for disposal
• Area left clean and tidy
• All new sectional tank pieces lifted and shifted into place, ready for tank installation by others
Delivered in a tight access environment, handling heavy materials with a clean finish from start to finish. 💪
